Raymond E. Johnston Raymond E. Johnston, 52, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at his home.

Ray was born on June 26, 1958 in Franklin County, a son of the late Wayne and Joan (Manahan) Johnston.

Ray is survived by his wife of 16 years, Roxanne; daughters, Buffy (Tim Browning) Johnston, April (Eric Paulus) Johnston, and Jennifer Johnston, all of Sidney, and Grace (Justin) Brown of Lima; a sister, Pat Cavinder, of Sidney; brothers, Tom (Tami) Johnston of Martin, Georgia, Mike Johnston of New Orleans, and Keith (Sandy) Johnston of Orlando, Florida. Papa Ray will be missed by 10 loving grandchildren, Mikaila, Tyler, Kaira, Billie Jo, Dalton, Calub, Naveah, Steven, Ethan, and Aryka, all of Sidney. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, including Dave and Sharon Proffitt and Tonya Zook.

Ray was employed by Hi-Point Trucking as a driver and mechanic. He was an avid fisherman and John Wayne fan.

Each spring and summer he enjoyed boating at Indian Lake and in Florida.

Ray was famous among his family and friends for his chili, baked beans, and au gratin potatoes.

The Rev. Floyd Lundy conducts a funeral at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charities of the donors' choices.
