Agnes Irene Loffer Rohrer, 90, of DeGraff, died at 8:50 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the O.S.U. Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born in Logan County on August 10, 1920, a daughter of the late Lotus and Grace Wenrick Loffer.
On August 17, 1941 she married Huber Rohrer in Logansville and he preceded her in death on July 14, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a son, Philip Rohrer; and a brother, Ralph Loffer.
She is survived by a daughter, Patsy (Jerry) Shumaker of Beavercreek; a daughter-in-law, Anita Rohrer of DeGraff; five grandchildren, Vanessa (Mark) Blair of Maryville, Tenn., Beth (Steven) Croucher of Beavercreek, Andrea (Jeff) Corwin of DeGraff, Cynthia (Adam) Huber of Sidney and Angela (John) York of Christiansburg; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In 1938, she graduated from DeGraff High School. She worked at the Citizens Bank of DeGraff for 20 years, and was the Assistant Cashier before retirement. From 1997 until she was no longer able she worked part time at the bank.
Agnes began attending the Logansville Community Church at the age of 10 and in 1936, she became a member. She played piano for the church since 1938.
She joined the Fortnightly Music Club in 1938 and was a member of the Pleasant Grange, where for many years she also played piano.
Pastor Keith Franks conducts a funeral at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2011. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Logansville Community Church.
