Robin Fern Piunti, 75, of Bellefontaine, went home to be with the Lord at 12:10 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

She was born in Hobart, Indiana on October 11, 1935, a daughter of the late Anthony and Matilda Schmidt Springman. A brother, Ralph Springman also preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Orlando (Cathy) Piunti, Jr. and Richard (Wendy) Piunti both of Valparaiso, IN, and Robert (Leslie) Piunti of Hobart, IN; three daughters, Renee Workman of Bellefontaine, Robin McFarland of Lafayette, IN and Rosemarie Sanchez of Hobart, IN; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Junior (Fran) Springman of Portage, IN; four sisters, Ruth Shipman of Hobart, IN, June Dodge of Ankeny, Iowa, Gerry Paul of Merrillville, IN and Dorothy (Fred) Smith of Lake Station, IN.

She worked as a self employed beautician, and she loved to sing.

Pastor Russ Hamilton conducts a funeral at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, Quincy.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Kidney/Dialysis Foundation.

To all my cousins, We are sorry for your loss. Your mom was a very special lady. We loved her very much and she will be missed dearly. It should give you peace and mind that she is in a better place.
