Carl Leroy FenneyCarl Leroy Fenney, 77 , of Huntington, W.Va. passed away Thursday June 23, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Bill Blankenship and Pastor Steve Sullivan. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. He was born August 13, 1933 in Logan, W. Va. a son of the late Wilson and Thelma Adams Fenney. He was a retired truck driver for Commercial Motor Freight, Smith Transfer, ARA Trucking and the Roman J. Claproods Company. He was a member of Teamsters Local 505. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Ward and Harry Fenney, a sister-in-law Jean Ward and a nephew Bryan Fenney. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Eleanor Rader Fenney, a son Matthew Fenney of Huntington, three daughters and two sons-in-law Carla and Jackie Vannatter and Cathy and Steve Nichols all of Huntington, Joan Adkins of Milton, W.Va., five grandchildren and a spouse Kerri Vannatter, Tyler Vannatter, Whitney Adkins, Katelyn and Patrick Davis and Seth Nichols, a precious great grand-daughter Natalie Davis, a sister-in-law Lou Ann Fenney of Huntington and a host of family and friends. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 6:00pm Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Reger Funeral Home. American Legion Post 93 of Kenova will conduct military graveside rites. So sorry for your loss. I was out of town over the weekend and did not see the notice until today. On behalf of all the Brown family who lived on Woodville Drive, we are so sorry for your loss.
