Rev. James Richard Roby, 57, of De Graff, went home to be with the Lord at 1:15 AM Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.

He was born July 1, 1954, in Bellefontaine, a son of Richard Wilbur Roby of De Graff and the late Shirley Joanne Vaughn Roby.

On September 23, 1977, he married Debra Diane Kendall in Bellefontaine and she survives along with two Sons; Jim (Amy) Roby of Sidney and Michael Roby of

De Graff and one Brother Jeff (Lorna) Roby of Cropwell, AL.

He was a 1972 graduate of Riverside High School and a graduate of Urbana College. He was the Pastor at the De Graff Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to watch the Cincinnati Reds and also liked to do landscaping.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the De Graff Freewill Baptist Church, with Michael Idle officiating. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff. The family will receive friends at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, De Graff on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 5 to 8 P.M.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the DeGraff Freewill Baptist Church.
