Pearl Louise Heath, 83, of Quincy, died at 4:35 AM Thursday, December 15, 2011, at her home.

She was born August 3, 1928, in Champaign Co., a daughter of the late Gurney and Zelma Purk Bailey.

On February 27, 1945, she married Hershal Duane Heath in Richmond, Ind., and he died March 30, 1999. She was also preceded in death by two sons; Kit and Bruce Heath.

She is survived by a son; Terry L. (Karen) Heath of Quincy, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A Nurse's aide, and EMT, she was a former member of Quincy/Miami Twp. Rescue Squad.

She was a member of Quincy United Methodist Church and V.F.W. Post 3528 Auxiliary, Quincy.

Pastor N. Matthew Wright will officiate at a memorial service at 7:00 PM on Monday, December 19, 2011 at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Her body was cremated and her ashes will be buried in the Fairview Cemetery, Quincy at the convenience of the family.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Quincy/Miami Twp. Rescue Squad, Quincy United Methodist Church, or Buckeye Gospel Barn, Quincy.

I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a great person & will be missed. I will always remember the stories & times that we had while growing up and being neighbors. You are all in my thoughts & prayers through this difficult time.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss! She was truly a good woman! I will miss stopping and talking to her during the summer. She was always smiling everytime I seen her. She will be missed!
