I just found out this evening about Curtie. It breaks my heart so much. I am so sorry for the loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all.

Vickie, Lanny, and Jeff,
I did not know that this had happened until yesterday! Kevin told me he had found a little information about Curtie on Facebook. I then looked it up in a newspaper and found a short piece.
Remember when we were all neighbors back in the 90's? I think Curtie stayed over night at our house a few times. I remember Kevin celebrating one of his teen birthdays with a whole bunch of boys, and I drove way out in the country to pick up a car full of them. I think Curtie was one of those boys that night. I know that we had Jeff with us and Eddie Hensley. I was worried that the police was going to stop me, too.
I am so sorry to hear that this has happened. I live here in Versailles, Kenucky, and I do not get back to Louisa very often. I will keep you all in my prayers. I cherish all of the memories that I have of living in Louisa. Kevin was very fortunate to have had Jeff and Curtie as friends right up the road from our house. Kevin lives about 15 miles from me in Lexington, so I get to see him on a regular basis. Take care.

William Curtis Curtie Barker 33 of Lexington, KY formerly of Louisa passed away Monday December 26, 2011 at Three Rivers Medical Center ER following a sudden illness.
