Mary Catherine Engelhaupt, 90, of Quincy, died at 9:50 AM Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
She was born August 1, 1921, in Adams Twp., Champaign Co., a daughter of the late Charles Walter and Eva Grace Hubbell Persinger.
On February 19, 1940, she married Roy Wilson Engelhaupt in Adams Twp., Champaign Co. and he died July 26, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a brother; Charles Persinger, Jr.
Survivors include a Son; Robert L. Engelhaupt of Quincy and a special friend, that she considered her daughter, Reenie (Mike) Elliott and family of Quincy.
A 1939 graduate of Harrison Adams High School, she was a homemaker and farmer's wife. She was a member of the Rosewood United Methodist Church and a former member of Rose Grange and Champaign Co. Farm Bureau.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, De Graff, with Pastor Andy Leighty officiating. Burial is in the Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Rosewood United Methodist Church.
