Ruth Ella HuberRuth Ella Huber, age 94, of De Graff entered eternal life with the Lord on Tuesday, June 26. Prior to her passing Ruth was a resident at Green Hills Center, West Liberty. Born on August 23, 1917, Hardin County, she was the daughter of the late Joa and Ruby (Stevenson) Ansley, Ridgeway. She was the only child living of seven children who preceded her in death, brothers Hazen, John, Robert and William Ansley and sisters, Mary Larcom and Helen Schithe. On April 10, 1939, she married Ralph Emerson Huber in Middletown, Ohio, who passed away on May 4, 1983. Ruth had lived in the De Graff community for over 70 years.

Surviving are one daughter Joanna Marie (James) Huffer, Columbus, one son, Ronald Eugene (Suzanne) Huber, Grove City. Four grandchildren, Christina (Rusty) Thomas, Blacklick, Ohio, Kirt Blizzard, Rochester Hills, Michigan, Amy Blizzard Johnson, Huntington Beach, California, Kelly (Tammy) Blizzard, Mesa, Arizona, and six Great Grand children, Nathaniel, Jacob, Matthew, Alison, Chloe and Kilian.

Ruth was an active member of First Lutheran Church, Bellefontaine, for over 65 years. She was active in the DeGraff School (now Riverside) and was most proud of being the first woman president of the PTA in 1953. She was a homemaker, avid gardener and a farmer along side her husband on a dairy and grain farm in the Gretna community. She was a 60 year member of Chapter #459 Order of Eastern Star, Bellefontaine. Over the years she belonged to several community clubs, particularly the Union and Pioneer Garden Clubs, church organizations and until recently, president of the Friends of the DeGraff library.

Celebration of Ruths Life Service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 10 A.M. at First Lutheran Church, 208 W Sandusky, Bellefontaine with Rev. Jon Bull officiating. Burial will be in Huber Cemetery near De Graff.

Friends may call at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes, De Graff Friday, June 29, 2012 from 4 to 8 P.M. with Eastern Star services at 8 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in Ruths name to the New Life Charitable Foundation of First Lutheran Church, Bellefontaine.
