Royden Charles Presley, age 95, of Kerrville, died on Monday, July 22, 2013 at a local nursing home after a brief illness. Royden was born on April 18, 1918 in Tarentum, Pa. to Charles Royden Presley and Clara Sarah Wittenberg Presley. Royden graduated from Tarentum High School in 1936 and was employed by Allegheny Ludlum Steel. He married Dorothy Mae Evans on May 19, 1939. Royden rose through the ranks at Allegheny Ludlum from the position of mail boy to General Managers secretary, to Field Sales Rep. to District Mgr, to Regional Manager to Director of Customer Services, he retired early after 35 yrs. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Hyacinth Sarah Klinkenberg, his daughter, Royann Presley Myers, and his loving wife of 70 yrs, Dorothy Mae Presley.
Royden is survived by his sons, Roger C. Presley & wife Patricia of Kerrville, and Thomas W. Presley of Santa Rosa, CA, and son-in-law, Gordon & wife, Michelle Myers of Roswell, GA.. He is also survived by grandchildren: Danny & wife Donna Myers of St. Johns, FL, Matt Myers of CA, Gretchen & Rodney Cox of Woodstock, GA, Cassi & Brian Riedel of Utopia, TX, Cammi & Tony Matisi of Austin, TX, and Becky & Weldon Robertson of Leander, TX; and great grandchildren, Cassie, Caroline & Chris Myers, Justin, Jeremy, Tara & Gabby Boyum, Preston Cox and Chandler & Larissa Robertson.
