1953 - 2015
Vickie Lynn Edmonds, 61, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at her home after suffering from long-term mental illness and a few physical complications. She was born June 21, 1953, in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late Edgar L. and Virginia Spurlock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Richard, Gary, Billy, Fred and Dennis Spurlock and her sister Joanne Spurlock. She is survived by her only daughter Shawna Renee Bumgardner and her only son in law Scott Bumgardner both from Huntington; four grandchildren, Eden Bumgardner, Ella Bumgardner, Ashley Lewis and Briana Lewis of Huntington; two sisters and brother in laws, Mitch and Carol Carnell from South Carolina and Fred and Karen Rast from Michigan; and her special grand dogs Gabby and Piper. She was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Freewill Baptist in Huntington and was very active loving and serving her neighbors as thyself. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Fellowship Baptist Church, Barboursville, WV, by Pastor Jerry Warren. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, also at Fellowship Baptist Church and also one hour prior to the service. Vickie always sat behind us @ church; she was a dear precious soul, we liked to hug! Will miss those hugs, but will hug her again. Love and prayers to the family!
