1922 - 2017
 Lona F. Adkins, 94, of Branchland, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 2, 2017. She was born December 7, 1922. She is the daughter of the late Irvin and Maude Adkins. Wife of the late Carl Odell Adkins. She also was preceded in death by her two sons, Carl “Wendell” and Pearlie Edward Adkins. She is survived by her five sons, Doug, Larry, Linuel, Charles, and Harold Gail. She had 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She made her home with Charles and Nada Adkins. She also is survived by one brother, Curtis (Erma) Adkins and one sister Lucille Vollmuth, along with a host of family and friends. The family would like to thank St. Mary's Medical Center 5th Floor Orthopedics Unit and Hospice of Huntington for all their support and dedication for our mom. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Emual Adkins and Danny Wooten officiating. Burial will be in Claude Adkins Cemetery, Raccoon Creek. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
