WILLIAM GENE "PAPAW" McCOMAS, 81, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife and loved ones, on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born January 22, 1937, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late William Jennings McComas and Sarah Bartram McComas. He was a retired engineer with the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Estep McComas; two sisters, Jackie Bailey and Ella Thornhill and one brother, James McComas. He is survived by one daughter, Debbie Kelly and her husband Bennie Bullion of Proctorville, Ohio; one son, Donald McComas and his wife Monica of Proctorville, Ohio; one sister, Beulah Insco of Huntington; one brother, Richard McComas of Huntington; five grandchildren, Jeremy Kelly and his wife Stephanie, Sarah McComas, Chad McComas and Sammie McComas; and a very special "Jim Dandy" great-grandson, Jase Kelly.
