SOUTH POINT-With broken hearts, the family would like to announce the sudden passing of Christopher Gerald Reed, 35, on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Kings Daughter Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Christopher was born July 14, 1988 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Beverly Carter. He was a resident of South Point, Ohio and graduated from Russell High School in Flatwoods, KY in 2007. Christopher was preceded in death by his Papaw Gerald Lemaster “his best buddy” and his step grandpa, whom he referred to as, Mr. Ron Moatz. Christopher is survived by his mother, Beverly (Jeff “Pops”) Carter, grandmother, Chelon Lemaster Moatz, Aunt “B” Barbara Lemaster (Cynthia Cox), sisters, Krissa (Tarek Hilal) Leadingham, Katie (Chris) Kohut, his daughter, whom he called “love”, Saiah Adez Morris (Larren), nieces and nephews, Jaden, Autumn, Brandon, Paxton, Isabella, Lucas and Cane his beloved fur friend.

Services for Christopher will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Roger Watkins officiating. Christopher will be laid to rest in Vernon Township Cemetery next to his Papaw Gerald Lemaster. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00-7:00 pm Monday and one hour before the 11:00 am service Tuesday. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Monday by the Masonic Lodge #497 of South Point, Ohio, where Christopher was very proud to be a Mason at the same Lodge his papaw, Gerald Lemaster was a Mason. The family requests donations be made to the American Liver Foundation or Masonic Lodge #497, South Point, Ohio in memory of Christopher Reed.
