Michael Paul WagnerMichael Paul Wagner

WHEELERSBURG-Michael Paul Wagner, 72, of Wheelersburg passed away at his home Friday, March 22, 2024. Mike was born May 26, 1951 in Portsmouth to Paul Wagner and the late Adah Ruth Harper Wagner. Mike was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam war era. He was Owner/Operator of Wagner Rental and he was on the Porter Township Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years. In addition to his father, Mike is survived by his wife, Cynthia “Cindy” L. Murawski Wagner whom he married October 27, 1973 in Irwin, PA. He is also survived by two sons, Paul Wagner and Kevin (Leslie) Wagner; three brothers, David, Dan and Tim Wagner and three grandchildren, Taylor Schmidt, Kendal Wagner and Grayson Wagner. Mike had a love for dirt late model racing, where he enjoyed spending time with his boys. He liked to restore classic muscle cars and attend car shows. You could always find him on his tractor or out in the garage, watching a basketball game or at the local dirt track. More than anything he was so proud of his family and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Services for Mike will be 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Rick Clark officiating. Interment will be 11:00 am Wednesday, March 27, 2024 in KY Veterans Cemetery-East. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, 4:00 pm until the 8:00 pm service. Please accept my deepest and most sincere sympathy on the passing of Mike. As a classmate of Mike's throughout my 12 years in Wheelersburg schools, I always found him to be a sweet, kind, and genuinely good person. I wish his family much peace and comfort as they walk the path of grief. Abundant blessings to each.
