Cory Justin Mills, 40, of Ona, WV died suddenly Friday, March 22, 2024 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, of heart complications. He was born May 12, 1983 in Huntington, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, the missionary, Mrs. Christy Autumn Dawn Holland. Surviving are two children Isaac Ronin Mills, age 16 and Maya Mills, age 11, of Ashland, KY; father Dave Ellis Mills and stepmother Paula Lessard of Lesage, WV, and mother Rhonda Mills of Barboursville, WV.; paternal grandparents, Buddie and Dorothy Mills, of Ona, WV. Cory was a talented musician, songwriter and photographer, and he will be missed by many friends and family who loved him. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. A memorial service to celebrate Cory’s life will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Fellowship hall of the Madison Avenue Christian Church located at 722 West 12th Street, Huntington, WV. Just a goodbye, my friend. We will meet up there to do what we could not do down here. If the Lord wants to make some noise and needs good beats, tell him I'm coming and to provide me with two turntables and a mixing board. My glitch brother, the funny times we shared doing silly videos was awesome and I will cherish them. I have them all saved and still watch them they make me laugh so much. I am so sad that I never got to shake your hand and meet in person, because we shared so many funny moments and we planned on hooking up this year and there was talks of collaboration with our music. We were blood brothers and I will never forget that.

Many friends come into our lives, but only a few leaves with their footprints on our hearts. Everyone who knew Cory recognized his deep intellect, big heart, kindness, and fun-loving nature, as well as his boundless passion for music and visual art. We have collaborated with him on many occasions through the label, and we were actively working to release his music. In a heartfelt tribute to honor his memory and legacy, we are dedicated to seeing this project through to completion.

Our prayers go out to our family. Hearing of Corey passing was such a shock and so heartbreaking- I remember church camp days the boys would all play there instruments and those were good memories- I know God is taking very good care of Corey- my heart goes out to all who knew this beautiful person.
