For Eddie, If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again. No farewell words were spoken, No time to say goodbye, You were gone before I knew it, and only God knows why, My heart still aches with sadness, and secret tears still flow. What it meant to love you - no one can ever know. Since you'll never be forgotten, I pledge to you today- a hollowed place within my heart is where you'll always stay.

Dortha & Gene, I was saddened to hear of your loss. I never got to know Eddie as a person since I have been gone from back home for such a long time. I know when we lose someone at such a young age we have questions as to why. I know because our family has also lost loved one at a young age. You have Eddie's son to watch grow up and tell him about his Dad to keep his memory live. May God give you the strength to get through this difficult time. I will keep you in my prayers. Betty Kennedy

I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw Eddie had died. Dortha, Arty Gene, Clint you have my deepest sympathy. I met Eddie when he was 4 and I was 7 and have considered him a friend ever since. I didn't realize he was 43, He never seemed to age. We were nearly inseperable when we were younger, but drifted apart as happens too much when people get older. I hadn't seen him in a long time, especially since I moved away, but I know he was so proud of his kids and my heart goes out to them. Eddie was a good man and will be missed.

Dear Aunt Dortha and Uncle Gene, When we spoke on the phone Sunday night I was at a loss for words. The right words are always hard to find during a difficult time like this. When I hung up the phone I remembered some advice a friend once gave me. She said to pick just one of the many things you remember about a loved one and hang on to it as a tribute to their memory and to keep their spirit alive in your heart. My one thing I will always remember about Eddie was the unforgettable "grin!" Because of distance, I never knew the man Eddie became, but have vivid memories of the the quiet young boy with the sheepish grin. I remember at family gatherings he would just sit on the sofa rarely saying a word. Now that I think about it, he probably realized he didn't have a chance to get a word in edgewise when this group got together so he just sat back, took it all in , and grinned! There was always a sparkle in his eyes that would accompany "the grin", leaving me wondering what he could possibly be thinking. I was told once by a very special Spring Hill principal..."Kimberly, you are a thinker....and sometimes you can think too much!" I am sure you told Eddie those same words on many occasions. He was blessed to have parents who loved him unconditionally and who were always there when he needed them most. I know he appreciated everything you did for him throughout his life...he may not have said it but I know he was thinking it because that's what "thinkers" do! I love you both very much and pray that your memories of Eddie will help you through this difficult time. Love, Kim

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. I have know Ed for years, but I never knew what a kind man he was until the last couple years when he befriended my brother Greg. Since I have saw a kind, compassionate friend in him. The love he had for his Mother and Son was definite. Ed will be sadly missed.
