
LELAND DONALD FULKS, 91, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was the youngest son of the late William Hartley and Ruth Gill Fulks, born April 6, 1929 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Glennalee Wellman Fulks in 2011; two brothers and their wives, William Coleman (Myrtle) Fulks and Karl Jackson (Joyce) Fulks; and two brothers-in-law, Jerry Wellman and Joe Reynolds. He is survived by his daughter Alice and son Matt, both of Chesapeake, OH; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jack and Anna Wellman of Wayne, WV; sister-in-law Otalee Wellman Reynolds of Columbus, OH; and sister-in-law Deedy Wellman of Wayne, WV. Don was a proud graduate of Huntington High School, Class of 1947. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Korea. He was employed by Allied Chemical for several years. He was retired from the State of Ohio, Department of Industrial Relations as District Examiner of Steam Engineers. He was a self-taught master craftsman. He was a member of the Chesapeake United Methodist Church. He was Uncle Don to many nieces and nephews; and close family and friends, including “sharing” the Fulks grandchildren, Chris, Lauren, Jenna, Becca and Andy. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH with Pastor Anthony Thomas officiating. Burial will follow the service in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be 6 – 8 pm, Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the funeral home.
