Julian Wayne Mitchell, 97, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born April 22, 1923 in Huntington, WV son of the late Thurston and Mollie Graham Mitchell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Mitchell; three brothers, Leonard, Bryon and Raymond Mitchell; and three sisters, Louise May, Dottie Roy and Pauline Denelsbeck. He is survived by a son Michael (Pam) Mitchell; one granddaughter, Jordon (Shane) Vargo; three great grandchildren, Peyton, Trenton and Jaylen; and many nieces and nephews across the country. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2020 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2020 at the funeral home.
