Warren David Burdick Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1949 - 2020

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Warren David Burdick of Chesapeake, OH. David was born May 18, 1949 and passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at the Hospice House of Huntington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren W Burdick and Marguerite Curry Burdick. Also preceding him in death (this year - 2020) were his two sisters, Deborah Blackburn and Patricia Hayhurst, both of West Logan, WV. David is survived by his wife (his best friend and soul mate), Brenda L Burdick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Chad David Rakes (and Andrea), of Robinette, WV, Mary Deborah Rakes, of West Logan, WV, Daniel MacKenzie Blackburn, of West Logan, WV, Heather Ann Burgess Taylor, Joseph Lee Brewster II (and Janna) and Aiden of Greenville, SC. He also leaves behind many much-loved friends, including Mark Stark, Tom and Libby Bosley, Paul Callicoat, and many many more. David was owner of Huntington Bicycle Center (for 35 years) until he retired due to his health. David was also well-known in the Tri-State area through his love of music. He was a talented guitarist and has played with many local musicians over the years – beginning in his early teens. David will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him. He felt strongly that people were putting themselves (and others) at an unnecessary risk by gathering in crowds right now, due to this terrible virus. Therefore, no services are scheduled at this time. However, a Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date, when it is safer for us all to be together. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations be made to the Hospice House of Huntington, WV. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
