Eddie Lee Parsons, 57, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 suddenly at his home. He was born on November 3, 1963 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his father Edgar Lee Parsons; mother Melva Louise Parsons; sisters Bonnie Lee Parsons Roark, Sharon Rose Parsons, and Verlena Jean Parsons McComas. He is survived by his wife Laura Parsons; daughter Brandi Lee Parsons; son Eddie L. Parsons Jr; stepdaughter Jamie Adkins of Huntington, WV; stepson Joe Adkins of Seattle, Washington; two sisters Kimberly Parsons Taylor of Milton, WV and Katherine Parsons Marsh of Huntington, WV; fourteen grandchildren; Larissa, Eddie 3rd, Mallory, Alexandria, David Jr., Brittany, Katherine, Connor, Emma, Brayden, Brody, Dillan, Adriana; several special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins whom he loved so very very much; and a host of friends. He was also in the Young Marines when he was younger which prompted him to join the National Guard 254 Transport Unit here in Huntington, WV where he retired from and did construction work for. Eddie was the only boy in the mist of 5 girls, which made his life interesting and never dull! We love you bubby and will miss you deeply. “Oh God by whose mercy the faithful departed find rest, look kindly on your departed veterans who served their country, that they may rest in your almighty arms.” Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, January 11, 2021 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Larry Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Donald Kinnard Veteran Cemetery, Dunbar, WV. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
