Rebecca Jane Gentry, 68, of Chesapeake, OH rested this life on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She was born August 22, 1952 in Huntington, WV, Daughter of the late Charles Lafayette Adkins and Myrtle Lucille Saxton. She attended Chesapeake High School. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and an avid reader of sci-fi novels. She enjoyed action movies, Star Wars and Indiana Jones’ movies. During her lifetime, in addition to her parents, she suffered the loss of one brother, Floyd Edwin Abbott. She is held in loving memory by two sons, Eddie Ray (Medina) Gentry of Proctorville, OH and David Allen (Bethany) Gentry of Chesapeake, OH; two grandchildren Olivia Gentry and Sophie Gentry and two step-grandchildren Kelsey Brammer and Korey Brammer; two sisters Linda Lou (Freddie) Burns of Manchester, KY and Sherry Lee (Rich) Smoger of Marine City, MI; a host of nieces and nephews and a dear cousin Connie (Gary) Thompson of Huntington, WV; a very special friend, Susan (Daniel) Brady of Chesapeake, OH A memorial service will be conducted by Bishop Edwin S. Harper of Apostolic Life Cathedral. Burial will be in the Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory , Proctorville, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
