1939 - 2021

Joyce Fulton PikeJoyce Fulton-Pike,81, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 in The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born December 26, 1939 daughter of the late Ray and Pauline Fulton. Joyce was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County, Ohio, but spent 10 years living on Hilton Head Island, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin and Gary Fulton; her sister Bernice Fulton; and her precious granddaughter, Emily Shwe Mya. Joyce leaves behind her children, David (Kathy) Pike, Ritchie (Beth) Pike, Paula (Michael) Busteed and Barbara (John) Mya; grandchildren, Samantha Pike, Joshua Smith, Shelby (Kyle) Webb, Bradley Pike, Cece (T.J.) Hall, Cooper George, U.S. Army 2nd LT Adam Mya, and Rachel (Edward) Carr; and a special niece and nephew, Teresa Niemann and Michael Fulton. She had four stepchildren; Debbie Smith and Michele Newtz were also very dear to her. She also loved David and Tina Jordan, and David (Trina) Hart like they were her own family. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Krew, Kree, Kane, Eli, Owen, Paxton and Luke, they will surely miss their spunky “Rudy”. Joyce never knew a stranger and had the ability to find happiness in daily activities. You could often see her dancing or singing to Elvis Presley, outside chatting with the neighbors, or hear her shouting “Yucky-Pooh,” when tickled. She loved taking care of others and working hard for her family, sometimes having three jobs at once. She loved animals, especially elephants, and had a doggy best friend named Paisley. Joyce cherished her time spent with family and did not want them to be sad when she left this world. “I carry your heart with me; I carry it in my heart.”—E.E. Cummings. Private family services will be held. Hall Funeral and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
