Norman Ray Nance, 87, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born February 24, 1933 in Athalia, Ohio son of the late Walter and Nellie Mae McComas Nance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Jeannie Goddard, Judy Hesson, Edna Wood, Frances Stephens and Reba Fuller; and one brother, James Nance. He was a Korean War Army Veteran and a lifetime member of Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 as well as a retired truck driver. Norman is survived by his wife Peggy S. Nance; two daughters Sherri Salyer of Proctorville, Ohio and Brenda Nance of Crown City, Ohio; one son Ray Nance of Proctorville, Ohio; three grandchildren Jason Salyer, Bethani Woods and Lawson Nance; four great grandchildren Alison Shepherd, Stratton Woods, Kaylee Salyer and Kyle Salyer; one great great grandson Braxton Giles; one sister Susie Fuller of Proctorville, Ohio; one brother Billy Nance of Proctorville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio with Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 conducting military graveside rites. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.

this man was always in someway a part of my childhood. my father,norman and i went to canton oh to hunt with my uncle art. never forget that!!! wish u nothing but the best and nothing but love from me!!1
