Laura Cheri’ Hawthorne, 29, of South Point, Ohio passed away Friday, March 5, 2021. She was born August 24, 1991 in Mesa, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her father, Monte Ray Hawthorne; grandfather Bill Hawthorne; maternal grandma Mary Hade; an uncle Scott Hawthorne; and an aunt Raymonda “Ray Ray” Elkins. She is survived by her momma Mary Kay Lynd (Wesley); two best brothers Matthew Hawthorne and Austin Hawthorne; grandma Patricia Hawthorne; papaw Charles Conley, Sr.; seven aunts, Sarah Eldridge (Paul Roach), Laura Molter (Matt), Cheryl Bolden (Jeff), Debbie Conley, Cathy Winningham (David), Susan Hanshaw (Nick) and Cheri’ Luce; five uncles, Timothy Hathorne, Wesley Hawthorne, Charles Conley (Jennifer), Timothy Conley (Remy) and Michael Conley (Sally); one very special niece, Kodie Evely-Cheri’ Hawthorne; one very special nephew, Xavier Reed Hawthorne; and too many loving and wonderful cousins to list but she loved all of you so very much. Laura Cheri’ was a SINA at Harbor Healthcare of Ironton, Ohio and a CNA/RCS at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center of Huntington, WV. She loved taking care of her residents and they will miss her. She was an amazing free spirited person who brought joy and laughter to anyone who came to know her. The greatest sister, friend, daughter and granddaughter anyone could ask for. Her smile and laughter was so contagious. She will be extremely missed by this world and will never be forgotten.---Matthew. She used to say that she was born in the wrong era. She said she should have been born in the 70’s and grown up listening to the 80’s music. She loved music of all genre. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in White Cottage Cemetery, South Point, Ohio. Visitation will be held 12 noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2021 also at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
