Betty L. Edwards 96 of Sioux Falls, South Dakota formerly of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her residence. She was born on June 22, 1924 in Crown City, Ohio to the late Walter and Mary Church Thompson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Chester Edwards, one son William (Ed) Edwards, and a stepdaughter Ernestine Lucker. She retired from the Fairland School System after 31 years of service and was a member of O.A.P.S.E. She was a member of The Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ, the V. F W post 6878 Auxiliary and longtime member of the Proctorville Woman’s Club. She is survived by one son Larry (Rosemary) Edwards of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, one daughter Mary (Rusty) Rainey of Silver Springs, Florida, and a daughter-in-law Betty J. Edwards of Cannonsburg, Kentucky. 7 grandchildren Skip (Denise) Edwards, Andrea (Daniel) Bourque, Misti (Wallace), Sykes, Allison (Brian) Hoier, R.J.(Kim) Jones, Rus (Madelyn) Rainey, and Ryne (Kylie) Rainey, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great- great grandchildren and another one on the way, as well as many family and friends! Visitation will be held Saturday March 27, 2021 from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with a graveside service at 11:30 a.m.at Crown City Cemetery, Crown City, Ohio.
