Jewel Gay Marcum Petty 78, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Thursday May 6, 2021 at home. Jewel was born on October 18, 1942 in Verdunville, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband Alton D. Golden; her parents Bert and Victoria Marcum; her eldest brother Ben Marcum; her only sister Elma Joyce Marcum Witheral (Daniel Frea); and son Terry Thomas Vessey. She is survived by her brothers Gary Marcum (Stella) of Fairborn, Ohio, Bert Marcum Jr. of Willow Wood, Ohio and Craig Marcum (Debbie) of Kingman Arizona. Jewel is also survived by her children and grandchildren, Vickie L. Newman (Roger Smith) and Vickie’s children Arthur, Benjamin, Christine and Dakota, Gary R. Barton (Terri Hager) and Gary’s children Jacob, Jessica, Cierra and Kelli and Dawn M. Massie (Vinson) and their children Ray, Kelsey, Nicholas. She also has thirteen great-grandchildren.
