1930 - 2021
 Mary Elizabeth Neal, 91, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2021, with family by her side at Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley in Ironton, Ohio. Mary was born July 4, 1930, the daughter of the late Jacob E. and Doris Bone Singer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Neal; grandson, Deryk Neal; four brothers, Jacob E. (Sonny) Singer, Dwight Singer, Earl Ray Singer and Everett Singer; two sisters, Naomi Buchanan and Rita Bowen. She leaves behind three children, Terry (Thalia) Neal of South Point, Ohio, Debra (Rick) Dunfee of Proctorville, Ohio and Steven (Julie) Neal also of Proctorville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Heather Fletcher, Jennifer Howard, Brian Dunfee, Jessica Dunkle, and Taylor McKnight; six great grandchildren, Caden Howard, Alyssa Howard, Sydney Fletcher, Ty Fletcher, Aubrey Smith and Sam Dunfee; one sister, Iva Willis and several nieces and nephews. Mary was a lifelong resident of Proctorville, Ohio, many will remember her as a long-time employee and manager of Proctorville Gateway. She made many friends during her years there and will most certainly be remembered for her outgoing personality and that infectious laugh. The fierce love and devotion to her family will be forever missed. The family would like to thank the Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley for their love and care of their mother during her final months; to special friend and caregiver Sue Looney for the wonderful care and love she showed our mother and to her great grandchildren Caden and Alyssa Howard who cared for her with love and filled her days with laughter. Private family services will be held at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Private burial will be at Rome Cemetery in Proctorville where she will be reunited with her loving husband, Mack, lost to her over 40 years ago.
