Melvin Duane BledsoeMelvin Duane Bledsoe, 74, of Barboursville, WV, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 19, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Helen Chaffins Bledsoe; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Jeff Beasley of Roanoke, VA, Sandy and Randy Nichols of Barboursville, WV, and Sheila and Luther Booth of Roanoke, VA; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Jean Bledsoe of Fraziers Bottom, WV; one sister, Jewel Johnson of Milton, WV; one brother, Leon Bledsoe of Milton, WV; eleven grandchildren, Tabatha Rosen, Nick Gibson, Shane Nichols, Shaun Nichols, Drew Bledsoe, Daniel Bledsoe, Emily Bledsoe, James Bledsoe, Corinne Bledsoe, Jordan Bledsoe and Ella Bledsoe; and four great grandchildren, Lexxie, Emma, Hannah and Halie. Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat For Humanity, P.O. Box 2526, Huntington, WV 25726. To the Bledsoe Family: I was saddened to hear of Melvin's passing. As his cousin, I spent many Sunday afternoons with him and his siblings at Uncle Lonnie and Aunt Myra's "home on the hill". My sincere sympathy goes out to all of you. Cynthia

Tim, I know this is a hard time for you and your family. I lost my mother several years ago and I still miss her. I saw in the article that your Dad was "Baptised by Faith". I know he is with the Lord today and that has always given me peace about my Mom. She wasn't a big church goer, but I know she was right with the Lord and is with Him today. We will be praying for you. Larry Brimer
