Billy Joe Wiley, 82, of Branchland, W.Va., passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024. He was born October 27, 1941 in Harts Creek, W.Va., a son of the late, Rev. Smith and Bertha Wiley. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Clay and by his siblings, Charles Edward Wiley, Katie Wiley, Myrtle Wiley, William Wiley, Willard Wiley, Anna Alberts, Laura Gillenwater and Elva Wiley. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dona Jean Wiley; sons, Rev. Billy Joe Wiley and his wife, Julie and Heath Johnson; daughter, Paula Maultsby and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Shawn Maultsby, Shane Maultsby, Josiah Wiley, Raechelle Stamper, Joey Wiley, Lucas Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, Boone Johnson, McKenna Johnson, Allan Clay and a host of great grandchildren; sister, Inez Wiley Riggle; brother, Rev. Watson Wiley and wife, Alice and James Wiley and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m Monday, March 11, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville.
