
Sally Jean Chapman, 80, of Barboursville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 17, 2024 peacefully surrounded by her family. Sally was born January 11, 1944, in Barboursville, WV, the daughter of the late Allen and Lillian Bledsoe. She was also preceded in death by her husband Danny Chapman, her brothers John Bledsoe and Paul Bledsoe and her sister Kathleen Ayers. She is survived by her three daughters Tina McCoy of New Port Richey, FL, Darlene (Bruce) Shepherd of Milton, WV, and Anastacia Danielle Chapman of Barboursville, WV; one grandson Andrew (Nicole) Shepherd of Hinton, WV; a special grandkitty Fresno; a special bonus daughter Joy (Corey) Cole and their four girls Molly, Hadley, Maggie and Cora who loved their Silly Sally so much; her siblings Donna (Russ) Tice, Keith (Barbara) Bledsoe, Linda (Merle) Stratton, Jay Bledsoe, and Darrell (Gan) Bledsoe; and a host of special nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and an employee at Walmart in Barboursville for 20 years. Sally loved her family very much, loved cooking, working, mowing her lawn, her sweet tea was famous, serving in ministry alongside her daughter - the nursery, vacation bible school and Ona Senior Connection. The family would like to thank special friends Danny and Kelli Pyles and Diane Pierson. Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, by Pastor Nathan Jude. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
