Sandra Gail Mays, 74, of Ona, WV, passed away June 10, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Larry Stevens and Jack Jamison. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born April 26, 1950, in Logan County, WV, a daughter of the late Huey and Julie Cheek Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Mays Sr. and brothers Huey, Marcus, and Rickey Thompson. She is survived by one daughter, Wendellenna Mays (Larry Stevens Jr.) of North Springs, WV; three sons, Chester Mays Jr. (Amy) of Titusville, FL, Daniel Mays (Jennifer) of Salt Rock, WV, and Thomas Mays (Kim) of Barboursville, WV; two sisters, Linda McCallister (Bill) of Griffithsville, WV and Kay Thompson of West Hamlin, WV; two brothers, Ronald Thompson (Teresa) of Milton, WV and Roger Thompson (Deanna) of Hamlin, WV; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
