Eleanor "Pat" Adkins passed away on August 11, 2024 at 5:12 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Ridgelawn Memorial Park on Monday, August 19, 2024.
Eleanor was born on August 9, 1927 in Hamlin, WV. She was the daughter of Orvil and Verna Elkins Pridemore. Eleanor graduated from Hamlin High School and attended Century College of Commerce. She retired from "INCO" in the clerical group. She loved the Lord, her family and was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her late husband of 69 years, Roscoe Adkins Jr., her son Michael Adkins and her sister Jean Spurlock.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter-in-law, Emine Adkins, two grandchildren, Karri Adkins and Lafe Justin Adkins and his wife Michelle Adkins; six great-grandchildren, Gage Keller, Lafe Adkins, Trey Adkins, Jace Adkins, Lyla Adkins and Trinity Gregory; one sister, Maxine McComas; and one sister-in-law, Geraldine Adkins.
