1951 - 2024
 David Anthony Hager, 72, of Culloden, WV, passed away October 18, 2024 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice after a long extended illness and battle with cancer. He was born December 13, 1951, a son of the late George Madison and Mamie Louise Freeman Hager. David retired from Special Metals in 2018 with 40 years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and most of all mowing with his John Deer tractor. He was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Hager Chapman (Kenny), one brother Gregory F. Hager, and his son-in-law Dallie Eugene McComas who passed away on October 16, 2024. David is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Robin B. Baumgardner Hager; one daughter, Stephanie R. McComas of Culloden; one son, Michael David Hager of Barboursville; four grandchildren, Kylie R. Lunsford (Eli Martin) of Gallipolis, OH, Ty Naugle of Culloden, WV, Alexis Sims (Jayse) of Barboursville, WV, and Olyvia Smith (Eli) of Barboursville; great-grandchildren, Casen Martin, Abel Sims, and Anniston Sims; sister-in-law, Sharon Gossett Hager of Coal Grove, OH; nephew Aaron Hager; niece, Rebecca Clagg; special friend and brother-in-law Victor Hart. He will greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Minister Jason Thomas and Rex Vanater doing the eulogy. Burial will be in Culloden Cemetery. The family would like to deeply express their appreciation to the St. Mary’s Medical Center and the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for their loving care to David.
