Brenda Kay Ball, 75, of Huntington, WV, passed away with family by her side on November 29, 2024.
Born in Huntington, on July 23, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Alfred H. Campbell and Elva M. (Price) Campbell. Known as Kay, to family and friends, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Ball.
Kay leaves behind, to cherish her memory, sons Jamie (Dawn) Ball and Jeffery Ball; grandchildren Joshua Arnold, Anna and Jacob Ball; sisters Venita (Darrell) Anderson, Tanya (Dwight) Plybon and Marsha Moore; nieces Kathi, Christina and Amanda; nephews Dickie, Michael and Christopher; and Miss Kay’s “Kids” Amy, Chris, Sam, Sarah, Elizabeth, Gary and Sierra.
Kay was a graduate of Huntington East High School, Class of 1967. She married the love of her life, James Ball, and shared over 35 years together before his passing in 2005. Kay was a loving wife and mother; also remembered for babysitting many children over the years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved collecting cookbooks and recipes.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church starting at 2:30 p.m. Family and friends will be received at 2:00 p.m. until time of service begins.
