It is with profound sadness that the family of Rhonda Carol Bays, 53 of Barboursville, announces her passing on May 6, 2025. Rhonda was born December 5, 1971 to her beloved parents, Ronnie and Carol Jones. She leaves behind her devoted husband of nearly 24 years, Jason Bays, and two daughters who were her life, Breeann Bays and Lexi (Caleb) France. She was Gigi to her beautiful granddaughter, Lily Mitchell, and anxiously awaited the arrival of her grandson, Hunter France. She is also survived by her sister, Amy (Rob) Chase, as well as her sisters-in-law, Brittany (Matt) Simmons, Tracie (Jeff) Tarpley, and Sandra Stevens, and her two nieces, Scarlett and Piper Simmons. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Madelyn Clark. Rhonda also leaves behind a host of dear friends and her work family of 28 years at American Electric Power. Services will be Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed immediately by the funeral service.
