Keith “Matthew” Johnson, 58, of Milton, also known to his family as “Colonel” passed away October 13, 2025. He was born April 27, 1967, in West Hamlin, WV, son of Clara Jean Kelly Johnson of Hamlin and the late Herman Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his sister Melissa Johnson Salmons and a brother-in-law Bill Yeager. He is survived by daughter Courtney Adams (Baylee) of Williamstown, WV; son Alexander Johnson of Milton; daughter Raven Thompson (Michael) of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren Kaliyah, Amiyah, Nevaeh, Mariyah, De’Andre, and Michael Jr.; siblings, Yvonne Yeager, Duane Johnson, Wesley Johnson, Kathy Neal, and Leshia Vickers (David). He was a veteran of the US Navy on board the USS Guadalcanal from 1985-1990. Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.
