
Glen Edith "Glenie" Crum Spurlock, 85 of Glenwood, West Virginia, entered her Heavenly Home, October 28, 2025. She was born August 19, 1940 in Inez, Kentucky, to the late Jesse and Polly Mills Crum.
Glenie is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Spurlock; son, Darrell Spurlock; daughter-in-law, Rosanna Spurlock; four brothers, Dallas, Willis Gene, Jimmy, and infant brother, Roger Crum; four sisters, Bertha Bowen, Ethel Perry, Alma Hinkle, and infant sister, Naomi Crum; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Spurlock.
She was a homemaker, devoted to caring for her family, and most importantly, a woman who loved the Lord and enjoyed serving Him. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Glenie was a member of Greenbottom Missionary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School many years, and later played piano.
Glenie is survived by her son, Philip Spurlock; granddaughter, Maggie Jo Spurlock, both of Milton, WV; sisters, Joyce Bowen of Ostrander, OH, and Marcella Crum of Inez, KY; sister-in-law, Connie Spurlock of Glenwood, WV; brother-in-law, Bill Perry; daughter-in-law, Tammy Spurlock of Barboursville; a host of nieces and nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2025 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Greenbottom Missionary Baptist Church, Lesage, by Pastor Gordon Rutherford and Pastor David Blake. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park, Lesage.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses in the Lighthouse Division of Cabell Healthcare Center for going above and beyond in their love and care for "Ms. Glen", and to the residents for making her their friend.
