Geneva Gayle Dunkle Sites, 88, of Barboursville, passed away January 7, 2026. She was born May 22, 1937, in Barboursville, WV, daughter of the late Romey Sam Hensley and Norma Mildred Halley Hensley. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Leonard “Cookie” Dunkle Jr., her second husband Carl Sites, brothers Charles “Bud,” David, and Ricky Hensley, and her brother-in-law Morgan Hargis. She is survived by four children Anita Dunkle, Loretta Mathis, Ernie Dunkle, and Adam Dunkle; three sisters Sharon Nelson (Gary), Edith Hargis, and Debbie Cornett (Steve); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Brother Clint Brown and Brother Claude Spurlock. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
