
Johnny Basil Workman, 62, of Huntington, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family; following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 26, 1963, in Logan, West Virginia, a son of the late Cebern and Mary Daniels Workman. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Kimberly Dawn Workman, and one sister, Linda Lou Toler. Johnny was a devoted father and a proud Papaw. He is survived by his four children: Julie (Edward) Bryan of Milton, John Workman and Michael Workman, both of Huntington, and Brittany (Matt) Dillon of Huntington. He found his greatest joy in his grandchildren, Hayden, Chase, and Chandler, who were truly the light of his life. He is also survived by two sisters, Ellena Haddock and Eunice Woodrum, both of Huntington, and one brother, Delon Workman of Lesage, WV and a brother-in- law Donald Ramey of Kenova, WV, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. Johnny will be remembered for his strength, love for his family, and the unwavering devotion he showed to those he loved. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the family he cherished so deeply. The family would like to especially thank Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, The Valley Health Milton Office and Patricia Weir, FNP, for all the love, care, and support shown during this difficult time. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
