1936 - 2026
Jiles Pleasant Mabe, 89, of Milton, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 15, 2026. He was born September 6, 1936, a son of the late William Jennings Bryan Mabe Sr. and Lucinda Viola Browning Mabe. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Carol McComas Mabe and by his brothers, William Bryan Mabe, Samuel Mabe, Charles “John” Mabe and Richard Mabe. He served in the United States Navy and retired from Union Carbide. He later worked at Heritage Farms as a Tin Smith and he was an Artisan at Tamarack. He was a 33rd Degree Mason and a member of the Milton Masonic Lodge. He is survived by two daughters, Kristy Siler (Rod) and Kim Kirwan; five grandchildren, William Bryan DeBord, Brieana Thompson (Evan), Danielle Barker (Aaron), Chelsea Siler and Katie Wolfe; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit from Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Enon Cemetery with Pastor Mark Finley officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
