1930 - 2026

Lillian EstepLillian "Sissy" Eplin Estep, 95, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, surrounded by her devoted brother, Burgess Eplin and sister-in-law Libby. She was serenaded by her caring family members singing many of her favorite gospel songs she loved to sing before meeting her Lord and Savior in her new heavenly home. She was a dedicated servant of the Lord for many years while here on earth, setting a good example in sharing love and compassion to everyone especially the unsaved in need of Christ.

Born April 29, 1930 to Ewell and Halie Adkins Eplin ofBranchland, WV. Lillian graduated from Barboursville High School and worked at Sylvania Plant and Perry & Norvell Shoe Factory in Huntington, WV.

Lillian had been a faithful member of Bethlehem United Baptist Church for 79 years since March 9, 1947 where many years she taught Sunday School. After her marriage to William ''Bill'' Estep, she served as a devoted pastor's wife at Eastern Gates, Bowen Ridge and other churches in the area. They hosted a radio program from Bowen Ridge Church on WEMM which Lillian answered calls taking requests from callers. This program is still on the air every Saturday evening.

Lillian had a still born baby boy, Randall Alan Estep. She and Bill adopted two twin girls, Jean and Jo, who preceded her in death. Also preceding Lillian in death, two sisters, Letha Adkins, Myrtle Colegrove and two brothers, Leonard Eplin and Donald Eplin. She is survived by sister Louise and brother-in-law Marvin Taylor of Southgate, Michigan and devoted brother Burgess and sister-in-law Libby Eplin, Glenwood, West Virginia. Lillian has several nephews and nieces, and five grandchildren.

Lillian spent her final days as a resident of Wyngate Senior Living Community in Barboursville, WV where she captured the hearts of the staff who loved and cared for her every day. The family wants to express their deep appreciation for the attentive care and love given by every Wyngate Staff to our dearly loved Lillian.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jamie Clay. Burial will be in Marion Adkins Cemetery, Branchland.
