
C.A. (Carroll) Adams, 80, of Glenwood, West Virginia, passed away on April 1, 2026. Born on August 22, 1945, C.A. was a man of profound character whose life was defined by his devotion to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his enduring career in public service.
A Legacy of Service: A pillar of the local community, C.A. retired as a Chief Deputy of Cabell County Sheriff’s Department after more than 45 years of dedicated County service. His tenure with the county was marked by integrity and a tireless commitment to the safety of others. He was a respected figure whose decades of experience served as a foundation for many in the law enforcement community. He was also a member of the F.O.P (Fraternal Order of Police) Lodge 122.
Family and Caregivers: C.A.’s greatest legacy was the family and friends he left behind. He is survived by his children: Natalie Nicole Adams of Glenwood, WV, who served as his primary caregiver, David Washington of Glenwood, WV, who served as his caregiver, Charles Arden Adams of Long Beach, CA, Christopher Arden Adams of Lesage, WV, Douglas Wayne Adams of Lesage, WV, and Amy Adams Burgess of Southport, NC.
He also leaves behind all his grandchildren.
C.A. will be deeply missed by his special caregivers, Austin Carroll McClure of Glenwood, WV, D.J. Washington of Huntington, WV (grandsons), and Melba Clary of Glenwood, WV, as well as a host of other family members and friends who were lucky to know him.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, officiated by Pastor Kevin Shull of Bethel Worship.
