Verlion Ray Black, 87, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 20, 2026. He was born July 26, 1938 in Milton, W.Va., a son of the late Erva and Pearl Nida Black. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Black; brother, Vernon Black and sister Phyllis Jenkins. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Black; two sons, Greg Black (Amy) and Brent Black (Susan); and four grandchildren, Madison Black, Haley Black, Corbett Black and Emma Black. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Dorin Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
