
Lowell Thomas Lewis (Tom), 84, of Milton, WV, went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2026. He was born July 5, 1941 in Barboursville, WV, a son of the late Henry Thomas Lewis and Opal Agnes Bledsoe Lewis. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Rachael Bostic (Michael) and by two sisters, Roberta Adams and Charlotte Tabor. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue DeJarnett Lewis, one son, Nathan Thomas Lewis (Abigail), sister, Juanita McGlothin (Larry); nine grandchildren, Caitlyn, Caroline, Cassandra, Carenna, Clayton, Clarissa, Corrie, & Carter Lewis, & Josiah Bostic. He held two master’s degrees, was a pastor, school teacher and missionary. He knew how to build and fix just about anything. Above all, he was a great husband and father. He was also a father figure and mentor to many. A pastor at Greenbottom Missionary Baptist, Sycamore Baptist, 2nd Baptist of Guyandotte, assistant pastor and long-time Sunday School teacher at Antioch Baptist Church, Tom also preached at numerous other churches throughout the area. He taught middle and high school math and science for over 30 years at Hurricane Middle School and High School. He was more than ready to see his Savior in Heaven.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Ona. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock. Viewing is at 11 a.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
