Armia Long Barker, 95, of Glenwood, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 11, 2026. She was born October 28, 1930 in Mason County, W.Va., the last surviving child of the late Matthew Long and Artie Ball Long. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Winston Edward Barker; one daughter, Cathy Barker Bailey and by a great-grandson, Shawn Allen Barker. She is survived by her children, Roy Barker (Jackie), Darlene Blake (Harlin) and Robert Barker (Betty); sister-in-law, Elogene Barker Edmonds; seven grandchildren, Roy Barker Jr., Chris Barker, Amy Vance (Matt), Kevin Blake (LaAnna), Jeana Stonestreet (Robert), Bethany Tolliver (Jamie) and Nathan Duncan (Emily); 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026 at Guyan Creek Church, Glenwood with Pastor Don Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Pete Meadows Cemetery. Friends may visit from Noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Huntington.
