Sylvia J. Neal, 88, of Vinton, OH, formerly of Milton, WV, passed away July 5, 2026. She was born November 12, 1937, in Milton, WV, daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude Niday Chaney. She was preceded in death by her late husband Buddy Joe Neal, brothers Robert Chaney, Charles Chaney and Gary Chaney. She is survived by three children Michael Joe Neal, Mark Anthony Neal, and Jeffrey Leroy Neal; sister Freda Chapman; sisters-in-law Frances Chaney, Betty Chaney, and Carolyn Chaney; and nieces Vickie Lynn Lunsford, Drema Chittum and Shirley Jordan and nephew Bill Bryan; six grandchildren, Justin, Lindsey, Amber, Ashlynn, Stephanie and Lauren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Roger Pierce. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
