It is with sadness and love that the family of Herbert Turner, Sr., age 93, announces his passing on July 7, 2026, at his home in Barboursville, WV.
Herbert was born on November 8, 1932, to the late Garland and Annie Turner. He is also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas A. Turner and Frederick J. Turner; one daughter, Yvonna D. Turner; three sisters; two brothers; and former spouse, Thelma Gayle Turner.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Naomia Turner, his children, Herbert Turner, Jr. (Mimi), Sandra K. Clausen, Jacqueline L. Smith, John C. Turner, Tina Palmer and Natalie Turner, 12 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, William Turner (Marie) and Ivory Turner (Rose); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Herbert would like to let you know that his work here is complete. His new mission takes him to a beautiful reunion with family and friends that he hasn’t seen in a long time and with whom he will be playing Pinochle & Spades to his heart’s desire; love and laughter are guaranteed.
A visitation with Herbert will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 between the hours of 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home, 1159 Central Avenue, Barboursville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
