Patricia Ann Hatfield, of Milton, WV, passed away, Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at the age of 91.
Pat was a beloved member of the Milton community and was known by her family and many others as "Mamaw Pat", "Mamaw Patty", or just "Mamaw." Her greatest joy in life was serving her family, friends, & church family and doing whatever she could to help in times of need. The Hatfield home was always filled with music, singing, and laughter, and Mamaw always made sure everyone had a plate of food and a full belly to go home on. She would open "Mamaw's Kitchen" whenever the grandkids came to visit (which was a lot!) She always made sure each child had their favorites on their plate, even if that meant making five different meals! She was a wonderful cook and took pride in caring for her home and her family.
In her early adult life, she worked as a supervisor at Huntington Industries and was a wonderful wife, and mother to three children. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. She also enjoyed many hobbies throughout the years including traveling to the mountains and the beach, square dancing, singing, playing music, and frequent card games with friends. She enjoyed doing all of these activities with her late husband, Harold Hatfield Sr., to whom she was married for 65 years. He was the love of her life and she missed him terribly. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Rondo and Juanita Templeton, her youngest son, Gregory Hatfield, and her brother, Jerry Templeton.
She is survived by her two children, son, Harold "Chuck" Hatfield, Jr. (Candi), daughter, Valerie Leggett (Jerry), and her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Hatfield; grandchildren, Chad Leggett (Shannon), Jeremy Leggett, Jennifer Miller (Jay), Dustin Hatfield, Colton Hatfield, Dylan Hatfield, Carly Taylor (Jeremy), Elise Anderson & Adam Anderson, Josh Hatfield (Ally); great-grandchildren, Justin (Mackenzie), Hayley (Ashley), Kailyn, Alex, Emily, Ella, Madyson, Tiana, Treven, Levi, Lennox, Remington, Riah, Lancer; great-great-grandchildren, Chandler, Dean, Tate, Houston, and Easton; sisters, Betty Chapman, Sandra Chapman, and brother, Jim Templeton (Roberta), and a host of nieces and nephews, all of which she loved as if they were her own.
In the few years before her passing she received the upmost care from many compassionate, loving people at Paramount Senior Living.
She will be deeply missed by her family & close friends (Freda & Wanda), who loved her, but they rejoice in the fact that she has been reunited with her husband and son. What a beautiful reunion it must have been.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home in Milton, WV, with visitation beginning at noon and the funeral following at 1 p.m. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
