
Amber Dawn Skaggs, 52, of Barboursville, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2026.
Though her time here was far too short, the love she gave and the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Amber was born to Charles Rodney Black and Deborah Black of Barboursville, WV. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles Tom Black, Margaret and Bill Spaulding. She is survived by her grandmother, Juanita Meadows.
Amber leaves behind her loving husband, Jeremy Skaggs, and her children, Jacob Martin and stepdaughter Madison Skaggs.
She is also survived by her brother, Michael Shane Black (Natalie Brown); her sister, Summer Cullum; and her brother-in-law, Shannon Cullum.
Amber was blessed with many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews: Matthew Black, Cody Black, Mollie Black, Ashton Cullum, and Laken Cullum. She was also blessed with special cousins, each holding a very special place in her heart.
She is also survived by her loving aunts and uncles, Pam & Bruce Smith, Jeff & Avalene Spaulding, and Patricia & Bob Seybert.
Amber was employed at EnStyle Salon & Spa, where she loved her work and the family she found there.
Amber loved spending her weekends camping and making memories with her friends and family. She treasured the time spent together—the laughter, the conversations, and all the little moments that became cherished memories. She also had a very special love for her dog, Lexi.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home, 1159 Central Ave., Barboursville, WV 25504, by Pastor Monty Foster.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life beginning at 4:00 p.m.
